Thanks to the generous Advent offering from the Mount Olivet congregation and several individual contributions, the construction of the Liberia Educational School is proceeding rapidly. We rented a mixer to lay a strong and lasting foundation of cement, sand, and crushed rock.
Dance, dance, dance for Joy! That is what the children did when the foundation of the new, larger school was completed in March.
So that labor could continue unbroken, we also rented a generator for two days to provide constant light for the workers. Now workmen are laying cement and sand by hand to make blocks for the school walls – 5,000 of them! When all are completed, we will begin to erect the structure to define 8 classrooms, 3 offices, a multipurpose room, a clinic, bathrooms, and a cafeteria.
Mount Olivet – you have a strong presence in Monrovia, Liberia. Because of you, the children will soon have a new school – a place to learn and grow.
Bless you. Elizabeth Anderson-Bowen
