High School Discipleship

Confirmation Revisited

This program is open to all Youth in Grades 8-12. We will celebrate Confirmation Sunday at the end of this program on June 5. Youth who have already been confirmed will be invited to reaffirm their faith on that day.

This Spring we will begin an expanded faith formation program for our high school youth and families. Drawing on the work of the Fuller Youth Institute at Fuller Seminary in California our program will be focused around responding to the three most pressing questions facing our young people today:

  • Who am I?
  • Where do I belong?
  • What is my purpose?

Our program is fashioned to help guide our young people to the faith that Christ is the hinge and answer for all three of these fundamental questions. This year’s High School Discipleship Program is not a replacement of Confirmation, rather it is an expansion of the tradition and practice of Mount Olivet.
