Halls Hill History Day

Calloway United Methodist Church (5000 Langston Blvd) is delighted to invite you to Halls Hill History Day on Sunday, February 23 at 3:00 PM for "Pioneers in Service," focusing on the remarkable contributions of African American entrepreneurs from Arlington who have paved the way for progress and prosperity. The program will be approximately an hour-long tribute, celebrating the resilience, vision, and accomplishments of these trailblazers. Immediately following the program, we will share in a repast, providing an opportunity for fellowship and reflection.

Calloway believes it is essential to recognize and honor the historical figures in our community and beyond. Through programs like this, Calloway strives to bring awareness to the significant progress made by African Americans and to inspire future generations to continue the legacy of excellence. As Carter G. Woodson, the Father of Black History, once said, "Those who have no record of what their forebears have accomplished lose the inspiration which comes from the teaching of biography and history."
